PULSE.
Rapid Market Incubation

Your next big bet deserves
more than a gut feeling.

Pulse pressure-tests your boldest strategic ideas in 4 weeks — giving you real market evidence, customer insight and functional prototypes you can act on. So the big bets are backed by proof, not opinion.

Scroll

Everyone agrees it matters.
Nobody can get it moving.

Resource constrained

Your teams are built for delivery, not exploration. Executive bandwidth is consumed by operations — strategic ideas stall because no one owns them end-to-end. The headcount, time and skills to run rapid experiments don't exist inside your organisation. Innovation stays on the agenda but never makes it into the calendar.

The cost of moving slowly

Untested ideas don't stay cheap. They either drain millions at scale-up — or die slowly as zombie projects no one will stop. Agile disruptors are testing and launching while traditional players are still writing the business case. Speed of learning is the new competitive moat.

Boards need more than enthusiasm

Capital committee decisions need hard data and external validation — not internal enthusiasm packaged in a presentation. Without real market evidence, even the best ideas get stuck in consensus loops. The longer the cycle, the weaker the signal.

If this is where you are, Pulse was built for you. We turn stalled consensus into a clear go/no-go — in weeks, not quarters.

Long studies, big decks, slow consensus. Strategic ideas drift while operations consume executive bandwidth.

Pulse
4 weeks

We compress months of exploration into a single sprint. Your board gets a defensible decision — backed by evidence, not opinion.

A pulse is proof of life.
We find it — or tell you there isn't one.
Our validation lens_
We take a holistic approach to every idea.

We do not just ask whether an idea is exciting. We pressure-test it across desirability, feasibility, viability and scalability — so leaders know whether customers want it, whether it can be built, whether the economics work, and whether it can grow beyond a one-off pilot.

DesirabilityDo customers care enough to act?
FeasibilityCan it be built and delivered credibly?
ViabilityDoes the commercial case make sense?
ScalabilityCan it grow beyond the first pilot?
Who We Are_

Senior practitioners who speak the language of operators, engineers and capital committees — not just startup playbooks. We've been inside the organisations we now advise.

What We've Done_

Scaled multi-billion-pound innovation pipelines inside global enterprises. Built and launched products. Designed digital platforms. Led programmes from concept to market — and know when to stop.

What We Won't Do_

Run six-month studies or stop at a presentation. Better to stop a weak idea in 4 weeks than after 2 years of investment.

What You Get_

Every sprint ends with material your CFO and board can act on the same day it lands — go/no-go recommendation, ROI model, risk maps, GTM insights and a board-ready evidence pack.

Client & Partners_

Confidential Corporate + Earth Observation Start-up

The Challenge_

Ideate a product to help an AEC company enhance their offering in the emergent nature space, creating pull-through opportunities for their existing environmental services — in a market where no clear product or commercial model yet existed.

What We Did_

Multiple research, conceptualisation, rapid prototyping and testing cycles assessing desirability, feasibility and viability. Identified the opportunity, built and validated a concept with clients, scouted the nature-tech landscape for a data partner, co-developed a functional prototype, and ran client demos to inform go-to-market strategy.

The Solution_

A digital product that helps asset owners understand the impact of nature on their businesses — translating biodiversity, water availability, climate risk, soil conditions and social context into understandable business metrics around financial, operational and reputational risk.

Confidential Corporate

The Challenge_

Ideate a high-margin, high-revenue business model in the critical metals space with sustainability at its core — helping the client find a differentiated position in an emerging market before competitors moved in.

What We Did_

Research, conceptualisation, rapid prototyping and testing cycles assessing desirability, feasibility and viability. Identified an opportunity, built and validated a concept with positive client feedback, and scouted the DeFi landscape for token, financial and tech partners.

The Solution_

A suite combining a verification service and trading platform that independently quantifies residual materials in physical assets — converting them into financial-grade data for financing, trading or reuse. Acting as a bridge between engineering and finance to unlock hidden asset value as an auditable, investable asset class supporting circular economy and decarbonisation outcomes.

Prototype Demo_

A functional prototype was built and validated with cross-sector buyers before viability analysis concluded the economics were structurally insufficient at the required scale.

Why We Stopped_

Viability assessment revealed a lack of internal alignment and structurally weak unit economics at the required scale. Stopping it early avoided significant committed capital and 12–18 months of misallocated resource.

Confidential Engineering Firm + Global Mobility Data Partner

The Challenge_

Define a differentiated value proposition combining a leading engineering firm's insight with a global mobility partner's behavioural and mobility data — helping transport authorities move from reactive crash analysis to proactive, data-driven risk management and intervention.

What We Did_

Client discovery and validation with transport authorities to understand needs, decision drivers and constraints. Shaped the value proposition, explored business model options, and defined the full partnership strategy between the two organisations — clarifying roles across data, analytics, engineering, sales and delivery.

The Solution_

A strategic partnership integrating the mobility partner's big data on near-miss events with the engineering firm's machine learning and engineering expertise — providing precise, actionable insights to identify and mitigate high-risk areas before crashes occur. Enabling proactive safety planning, strategic infrastructure investment, and targeted interventions for vulnerable road users.

Confidential Corporate — validated with 40 potential clients

The Challenge_

Ideate a high-margin, circular business model in the energy supply chain — unlocking value from the scarcity of critical metals jeopardising the global energy transition.

What We Did_

Divergent primary and secondary research identified an opportunity in mine tailings. Co-created concepts, validated with SMEs, built a prototype, tested with 40 potential clients, then pivoted from a digital passport to an assessment and scenario modelling solution — validated in a qualitative session while assessing technology, partnerships and economics in parallel.

Why We Stopped_

Viability analysis revealed the economics to be structurally marginal — with recoverable metals representing a very small fraction of tailings composition, and net value per tonne insufficient to drive board-level decisions without a regulatory trigger mandating tailings treatment. Requires significant improvements in recovery efficiency or legislative pressure to become viable.
